Study Chinese in Guiyang

 

Guiyang is the capital of Guizhou Province and is located on the eastern side of Yungui Plateau, southwest of China. The city is also known as Zhu due to its historical fame for the production of the musical instrument, the Zhu. The city was known to be surrounded by dense bamboo groves, and in modern days there are a great number of attractive sites to see in this rich and diverse city.

 

Guiyang has many historical relics and beautiful sites such as the Hongfeng Lake, Jiaxiu Tower, Wenchang Pavilion, Yangming Cave and the Qingyan Ancient Town. Many of these sites have great historical significances of the Ming and Qing Dynasties and each has a captivating and enthralling story behind it. Today, modern Guiyang is home to more than 30 minority ethnics groups. The city has many rich and diverse cultures with unique people and traditions throughout the city. Guiyang is quiet laid back and the life pace is slower compared to that of other cities in China. The city does have many ethnic and cultural festivals, and these a very popular with tourists and attract people from all across China. Guiyang is famous for its many festival costumes, masks and embroideries that can be purchased in the city.

 

Guiyang city is one of China’s Spring cities, like others such as Kunming. The city enjoys mild climate that is often moist, neither too hot nor cold. The best visits are in spring, summer and autumn. Guiyang is also famous for its spicy food, with also many western restaurants that caters for all needs. If anything, the people of Guiyang are very welcoming, and are often seen strolling, chatting and playing games on the street.

 

Guiyang is a very exotic and cultural city for students to study Mandarin in. The city has great facilities and schools that have very fulfilling coursework for the language. Students will be able to learn and master Mandarin and travel through a very ethnical city which enhances their overall study experience. Students will also be able to practice the language throughout their travels of the city. Guiyang is a great destination for any enthusiast who wishes to have an exotic and cultural studying experience.
