AWARD CEREMONY OF CDB SCHOLARSHIP

  The Award Ceremony of CDB Scholarship-Distinguished International Students Program was held in Beijing April 23rd and 24th, 2015. Ms. Liu Jinhua, Secretary-General of China Scholarship Council (CSC), and Mr. Zhao Xiaoyu, Vice-President of China Development Bank (CDB), attended the ceremony and presented the scholarship certificate and the scholarship (10,000 per person) to each scholarship winner. The 44 scholarship winners are from Peking University, Tsinghua University, Fudan University, Renmin University of China, Shandong University, University of International   Business and Economics and Shanghai University of Finance and Economics. After the Award Ceremony, CSC and CDB led the 44 CDB scholarship winners and 20 Chinese Government Scholarship winner representatives to visit BOE-SDT and Star Times in Beijing and to attend the lecture “Development-oriented Financial Theory and Practice & International Business”, aiming to help students to have a better understanding of financing practice and enterprises in China. CDB Scholarship was jointly set up by CSC and CDB in 2006 to sponsor the young talents from developing countries to study inChina. Up to now, the CDB Scholarship has sponsored 100 international students from 32 countries. With closer cooperation with CSC, China Development Bank launched CDB Scholarship-Distinguished Student Program to fund excellent international students who study economics, finance or management inChina. China Scholarship Council is responsible for the selection, evaluation and administration of this program.
