nmg-nust joint scholarship program

In order to attract students with high prospects Nanjing University of Science and Technology (NUST) and Nanjing Government have set up a joint scholarship program for outstanding international students. These scholarships are for all types of programs including undergraduate, Masters, doctoral and preparatory programs.

Many students would like to study at this key university directly under the ministry of industry and technology. Students woud first and foremost need to meet the language requirements, general english proficiency for english programs and different requirements for chinese programs.

Students will be pleased to be informed that scholarships are offered in all subjects that are offered at Nanjing University of Science and Technology.

The Scholarships are valued as follows:

Full postgraduate scholarship

1.       Exempt from tuition fees

2.       Free on-campus accomodation (double room)

3.       Living allowance of RMB 24,000 per year for doctoral programs

4.       Living allowance of RMB 20,400 per year  for masters programs

(Note: living allowance is given on a monthly basis of RMB 2,000 and RMB 1,700 for doctoral and masters programs respectively.)

 

Partial Postgraduate Scholarship

1.       Exempt from tuition fee

2.       No living allowance, no free accommodation

Undergraduate Students

1.       One-off subsidy, exempt CNY 10,000 from tuition fee

 

Chinese Language Students

1.       One-off subsidy, exempt CNY 5,000 from tuition fee

(Note: Scholarship awardees are exempt from tuition fee. But fees of books and internship are ones own expense)

 

Appicants need to have competitive academic records in order to quaify for these sccholarships. Married doctoral and masters candidates can apply for off-campus accomodation for their spouses. A living allowance of RMB 1,000 and RMB 700 are allocated respectively.

 

Scholarship eligibility:

1.       Students must be non-Chinese and be in good health.

2.       For bachelors programs students should have obtained a high school certificate and not exceed the age of 28.

3.       For Masters programs students should not be older than 35 and must have obtained a bachelors degree.

4.       Doctoral program students should be younger than 40 and must have obtained a masters degree.

5.       Must possess a high level academic record of no less that 75% on transcripts.

6.       Applicants who applied for English taught program must have IELTS score 5.5 above or TOFEL score 90 above;

7.       Applicants who applied for Chinese taught programs must have HSK result above level 4.
