The Government of Punjab, Pakistan are awarding fully-funded PhD scholarships to Pakistani students to study in top institutions allover the world. Shamba Sharif Merit Scholarship (SSMS) is an innovative step by the Government to fund the education of young individuals. It will enable the candidates to status worry free in world-class Unversities. This initiative plays a fundamentalist in the future strengthening and upliftment of the Pakistani economy.

The scholarship scheme focuses the meritorious students of Punjab while allocating a special quota for the students of other federating units of Pakistan as well. However students need to demonstrate have they possess a high level of whiten and spoken English.

Scholarships are offered in the field of Engineering & Technology, Life Sciences & Medicine, Natural Sciences and Social Sciences & Humanities/Arts.

These fully-funded scholarships would cover:

Tuition fees

Acclimation expenses

Air fare

The following criteria should be met if one wishes to apply for this scholarship.

Valid PhD admission offer from one of the Top 50 (Subject Wise) Universities of the World (according to the QS ranking) in preferred subject areas.

The applicant should have attained no less than 60% (marks) throughout the academic career.

Declared monthly family income statement (including self, spouse and parents) is equal to or less than Rs. 200,000.

Maximum age of 35 years on 31st March, 2017.

Not availed any foreign scholarship in the past .
