The travel and tourism industry is an infinite loop of success all year round.

Studying towards the major focuses on moulding individuals to manage tourism and travel related businesses. Some of the topics include travel agency management, tour planning convention and event planning as well as travel industry law.

The courses offered serves as a layer of the hospitality programs, geography department and that of recreation.

Tourism often takes different forms; some offer a general business background with the core being placed on tourism subjects. Whilst others are focused around liberal arts.

The tourism major is widely aimed at international students as it enhances the learning experience and helps students gain perspective.

A  degree in tourism can provide vast opportunities as the industry is continuously booming. It is an essential part of the economy and global market with job creation in resorts, hotels, and conference centres etc.

Equipped with a flexible set of skills that can be used in positions that include marketing, security and travel agencies.
