Eligibility for scholarships:

Entrance Requirements: To be eligible for this scholarship you must meet the following requirements:

1.  A foreign passport holder, healthy, obedient to Chinese law and regulations.

2. Bachelor program applicants should hold a high school diploma and normally should be less than 25 years old, Master program applicants should hold a bachelor’s degree and normally should be less than 40 years old , doctorate program applicants should hold a master degree and normally should be less than 45 years old.

3. The requirement of language proficiency for applicants of English delivered programs is as follows: TOEFL 550 (IBT 80) or IELTS 5.5, but not required for native English speaker. Applicants of Chinese delivered programs should have recent HSK Level 4 certificate or HSK Junior-C certificate. Those who cannot meet this requirement can apply for Chinese language courses whose duration normally will not exceed a year.

Scholarship Benefits – No tuition fees, free accommodation and ¥3,500 ($540USD) –  ¥2,500 ($350USD) monthly payouts depending on program

Scholarship Requirements – Vary depending on program selection, most requirements state an applicant must come from a particular part of the world or hold a specific set of socioeconomic circumstances to be eligible to apply for their scheme

 

Local Government Scholarships

Issuing Authority – Chinese Provincial / local government

Available Programs – Vary by the province, usually a selection of Post Graduate, Undergraduate and general scholarly (Chinese Language) programs

Scholarship Benefits – Each scheme has separate rewards / benefits. Most entitle the scholarship winner to free tuition and accommodation
