Tianjin Foreign Studies University Scholarship


      In order to promote mutual understanding and friendship between the people of China and of every country in the world, as well as developing China and the world’s cooperation and exchange in the realms of politics, economics, culture, education and trade, the Chinese government established a scholarship. This scholarship aids outstanding students, educators, and learners from all over the world in coming to China’s universities for study or research.

      The Chinese Educational Ministry entrusts the National Study Abroad Fund Management Committee (hereafter abbreviated as “NSAFC”) is responsible for managing Chinese Government Scholarship recipients’ recruitment and enrollment, as well managing their affairs while in China. Students select from twelve categories when selecting their majors: natural science, engineering, agriculture, medicine, economics, law, management, education, history, literature, philosophy, and art. Tianjin Foreign Studies University is one of the participating institutions for this scholarship. 





  In order to support the Confucius Institute, as well as to promote Chinese as an international language; to spread Chinese culture; to train Chinese language educators and Chinese language enthusiasts, the Confucius Institute and the Office of Chinese Language Council International (henceforth abbreviated as Han Ban) established a scholarship. This scholarship aids foreign students, language learners, and Chinese language educators in coming to China to study at Tianjin Foreign Studies University.   





      The Tianjin Foreign Studies University Academic Merit Scholarship was established with the purposes of encouraging diligent study; fostering outstanding academically talented study abroad students; encouraging creativity amongst foreign students; promoting the development of students’ talents, and increasing cultural exchange. Awarding of the scholarship follows strict guidelines.

      The Tianjin Foreign Studies University Academic Merit Scholarship is awarded once every school year in accordance with the principles of “open, fair, just, and merit”.
