一、Entry
Requirement
Qualification
for Admission
Bachelor Program
1. Willingness
to abide by the laws of China, observe the regulations of Xidian University,
respect the habits and customs of the Chinese people.
2. Over
the age of 18, in good health, having Health Certificate by the Chinese
government, holding senior high school graduation diploma, having the
passport.
3. Applicants
who apply for programs taught in Chinese should have certificate of HSK3 or
above. Those who haven’t passed the HSK band 3 can apply for the Chinese
Language Program in Xidian University, and take the HSK examination
subsequently.
4. It's
not necessary for applicants applying programs taught in English to have
certificate of HSK3.
Master & Doctor
Program
1. Willingness
to abide by the laws of China, observe the regulations of Xidian University,
respect the habits and customs of the Chinese people.
2. In
good health, having Health Certificate by the Chinese government, having the
passport.
3. The
Master candidates must be no more than 35 years old and have a bachelor’s
degree.
4. The
Ph.D candidates must be no more than 40 years old and have a master’s
degree.
5. Applicants
who apply for programs taught in Chinese should have certificate of HSK3 or
above. Those who haven’t passed the HSK band 3 can apply for the Chinese
Language Program in Xidian University, and take the HSK examination
subsequently.
6. It’s
not necessary for applicants applying programs taught in English to have
certificate of HSK3.
Qualifying
Examination
1. School of International Education will
censor applicants’ qualifications jointly with related departments after
receiving the application material and fee and admit the best applicants.
Admission is in three forms: an exam-free enrollment; interview; written
examination and interview.
2. School of International Education will
inform applicants of the mode, time and place for written examination and
interview by telephone or E-mail.
3. Matriculation results will be announced on
the SIE website before July 15th
every year, and meanwhile the written Admission Letter and Visa Application for
Study in China (JW202 Form) will be sent out.

Documents required for Bachelor Program
1. Xidian
University Application Form for Foreign Students with a photograph fixed;
2. Foreigner
Physical Examination Form (photocopy);
3. High
school diploma ( notarized version, in notarized Chinese or English
translation);
4. High
school transcripts (notarized version, in notarized Chinese or English
translation);
5. HSK
Certificate must be in original or certified copy;
6. One
photocopy of your valid passport.
Documents required for Master & Doctor Program
1. Xidian
University Application Form for Foreign Students with a photograph fixed
2. Foreigner
Physical Examination Form (photocopy);
3. Diploma
and degree certificate( notarized version, in notarized Chinese or English
translation)
4. Related
transcripts( notarized version, in notarized Chinese or English
translation)
5. Two
recommendation letters from professor, in Chinese or English
6. Chinese
Language Proficiency Test result;(Skip if the candidates haven’t learnt
Chinese)
7. One
photocopy of your valid passport
8. Study
plan
Documents required for Chinese Language Program
1. Xidian University Application Form for
Foreign Students with a photograph fixed;
2. Foreigner Physical Examination Form
(photocopy);
3. One photocopy of your valid passport.
Note
1. All
required materials must be the originals or copies notarized by the issuing
organization;
All required materials must be in Chinese or
English;
2. The
application documents and related documents will not be returned.
3. For
Doctorate program candidates, who apply for the study of science and/or
engineering, and have passed at least New HSK Examination Band 4, and those who
apply for the study of liberal arts, Law, Economics and management, Medicine
programs have passed at least New HSK Examination Band 5, can directly start
their study in the relevant colleges or departments; those who fail to pass the
examination can at first apply for their study of Chinese Language for one year
in Xidian University before their study in the relevant colleges or
departments.
4. If
the students have no background of Chinese study, they may apply for one year
Chinese study prior to study their major.
