Profile

This program offered by the College of Life and Environmental Science of Wenzhou University (WZU) is dedicated to train students who are interested in traditional and emerging areas in Biotechnology. With access to advanced laboratory research, gaining work experience in relevant industries and the prospects of obtaining a Master's degree in addition to the Bachelor of Science's degree, our graduates will be well equipped to take upon a variety of jobs or to further advance their education in a PhD program.

Education Objectives

Systematically master the basic theory and knowledge of biosciences and biotechnology, acquire the basic capability of modern biotechnology, research and development, communication and innovation. Trained to be a multi-disciplined talent who can work in applied research, technology development, product marketing and production management in bioengineering, biopharmaceutical, medical and health, nutrition and other related fields, and possess the ability to do pioneering work or pursue advanced academic programs in related fields.

General Biology and lab courses, Biochemistry and lab course, Cell Biology and lab course, Genetics and lab course，Molecular Biology and lab course, Fermentation Engineering and lab course, Biopharmaceutics, Genetic Engineering, Immunology and etc.

Chinese undergraduate and graduate students majored in Biotechnology will act as mentors to help international students get settled down in Wenzhou and improve their proficiency in Chinese language.

1. Aged 18 or over, but not exceed 25.

2. Non-Chinese citizens with a valid foreign passport and in good health condition which accords with the Health Standard for International Students stipulated by the China Education Department.

3. High school diploma or equivalent qualification.

4. At least 60% score in English and scientific subjects: Mathematics, Biology, Physics and Chemistry.

5. Applicants must possess with a relatively higher level of proficiency in English. Certificates for English learning throughout the primary and high schools or certificate for English proficiency test shall be produced for non-English native speakers.

English proficiency evidence such as IELTS (6.0), TOFEL (iBT 75) or other effective test report (For non-native English speakers).

Question: What is the cost of applying through ACASC?

Answer: ACASC charges a service fee of 50$ for using its online application portal. Applying through ACASC into Chinese universities attracts a service fee of $50.

Question: Can I apply to the university directly?

Answer: Yes. ACASC gives the applicants, the chance to directly apply to their desired universities through our online application portal. We have synchronized our system to create a simple platform that connects universities and colleges in China to international students all around the world.

Question: How can I track my application status?

Answer: To track the application status, please log in your ACASC personal account. Whenever there’s an update, you will be informed on your application status through ACASC system within a day as soon as we receive university’s notification. You will simultaneously receive ACASC auto-email about the application status. Question: How to deal with a pending application?

Answer: When an application is pending a decision it means that your school has received it and no admissions decision has been made yet. The admissions office may have reviewed your application package or may not have.

The main cause of a pending application is usually incomplete application documents. As a result you will be requested by the school’s admission office to re-check and modify all submitted application documents or perhaps even add extra documents and then re-submit them.

To avoid further delays, carefully read the university’s comments, modify your application form on ACASC, and re-upload the required application documents. You can contact ACASC on admission@acasc.cnfor any help with regards to your pending application

How long does it take to process my application?

Processing time varies for different applications. For example to process a degree program application requires more time than a Chinese language application. Confirmation for Chinese language application by the admission office usually takes 2 to 4 weeks. However, time for degree programs application differs. For example fall semester application processing is after March, and it takes a period of 1 to 2 months. This also depends on your qualification and the number of applicants.
