Where To Study In China - Choosing Your Desired University, Choosing A City And A Course


The college search process can be very overwhelming and scary for any high school graduate. This could be due to so many reasons, of which the ever increasing number of colleges in China is definitely one of them. There are so many top schools and universities in China, and many of them offer similar programs and are also highly ranked. For this reason alone it can be very difficult to make a definite decision on where to study at.


In some of our previous articles we have extensively talked about the criteria that most people take into consideration when choosing where to study. Most students' first search for their desired courses and are directed to the universities and colleges that offer them. Others have a specific city, province or university in which they want to study.

 

There are certain academic preferences that some people will consider before choosing where to study and we have shortlisted the most popular ones;


  • What are your academic weaknesses and strengths?

  • Do you prefer studying in small groups or in large lecture halls?

  • What was your favorite subject in high school?

  • How do you manage struggles and pressure academically?

  • Do you have any disabilities or concerns that might impact your studies?


Here are some other non-academic questions that some students ask when deciding where to study as well;

Some students' also search for their desired courses and are directed to the universities and colleges that offer them.   1. Application deadlines and entry requirements of the various courses and universities.

  2. The fees structure of various courses and universities.

  3. Students’ financial status.

  4. Cities in China are categorized as follows: HOT cities, Provincial cities and Secondary cities.

  5. Climate status.
