What is International Relation?

International Relations is becoming increasingly relevant as the world becomes increasingly interconnected through trade and commerce, migration, the internet and social media, and concerns about global environmental problems and world peace

A globalized world calls for academics and professionals trained to understand these complex interactions -establishing understanding and crafting policy and business solutions to meet daily challenges

Furthermore it attempts to explain the interactions of states in the global interstate system, and it also attempts to explain the interactions of others whose behaviour originates within one country and is targeted toward members of other countries.in brief the study of international relations is an attempt to account for the mannerism that occurs across the boundaries of states, the broader relationships of which such conduct is a part, and the institutions (private, state, nongovernmental, and intergovernmental) that oversee those interactions. Vindication’s of that conduct may be sought at any level of human aggregation. Some look to psychological and social-psychological understandings of why foreign policymakers act as they do. Others investigate institutional processes and politics as factors contributing to the externally directed goals and behaviour of states. Alternatively, vindications may be found in the relationships between and among the individuals in the intergovernmental arrangements among states in thetasks of multinational corporations or in the division of power and control in the world as a single entity.

International relations is the study of an international system constituted of regional states which acknowledge no superior authority over matters which they consider of vital interest. It deals with the nature of dynamic relations shared betweenstates and with non-state. It focuses on the functioning of the international system – the forces, factors and interests, the customs, rules, norms, institutions and organisations from which the theory and history of its development are compiled

Every era has its own set of features and is known for its own apparent challenges. This era of ours is no different in the challenges and crises are concerned; the Ukraine Crisis, the older and newer Middle Eastern crises, the Greek Crisis, are just some of the issues we are faced with and yet they influence us to varying degrees depending on where we fit in, in this world we call home. In addition pertaining to our environment, we live in a profoundly different world from that of the generations prior to us due to the result of globalization. Subsequently the world around us continues to exponentially change and become more advanced.

The field of International Relations comprises not only the traditional realm of interstate relations, but also the interaction between state actors and non-state actors whether they be organizations, institutions, or transnational and/or multinational corporations.  International Relations is large enough to include much of what makes this world tick, such as politics, law, and commerce, and then a closer look would reveal that there are also significant social, cultural, scientific, environmental, and technological aspects that need to be acknowledged and addressed. Hence, a student, or any individual related to the field of International Relations has a vast range of options to select from depending on their personal preferences, but ultimately their aim is to make a difference in the world.  At the end of the day, with countless lives and the fate of whole nations at stake, the need for skilled individuals with a firm grasp of reality and with the sound knowledge, enthusiasm, and zeal to meet these challenges head on will very well make the difference between make and break.

To conclude international relations helps us appreciate and establish an understanding of the evolving relations between states which is key in order to keep abreast with the dynamic world we call our home .
