jilin provincial government scholarship for international students in china

The Jilin Provincial Government has endorsed a financial aid initiative to help graduates complete their masters and postgraduate degrees. This initiative has been launched with the aim of to reinforce international communications and relations as well as recruiting international students to study and part-take in the scholarship opportunity.

The scholarship is extended to students who are studying full-time and the duration of study should not exceed 2 years. Applicants should submit their applications with all required documents to the International Students Office to Jilin Agricultural University. The application deadline is May 1st, 2014. 

Applicants should fufill the following requirements in order to qualify for scholarship consideration.

1.       Applicants shall be non-Chinese citizens in good health.

2.       Obey the laws of the Chinese government regulations, the rules and regulations of the school.

3.       Applicants should have a bachelor's degree approved by China's Ministry of Education, under the age of 35.

4.       Applicants do not have any other kind of Chinese government scholarship at the same time.

The following Application Documents should be submitted on time with the application form.

1.       Completed Application Form for Jilin Provincial Government Scholarship (Annex 1).

2.       Visa Application for Study in China (JW202).

3.       Notarized certificate of highest education, certificate of graduation or notarized copies of degree certificate, including its English translation.

4.       One copy of passport and digital photograph (white background).

5.       Foreigner Physical Examination Form and Blood test report (The original copy from Chinese Ambassy).

The Jilin Provincial Government Scholarship would make students exempt from tuition fees. A basic learning material budget is also provided along with free accomodation on campus. Basic living expenses are also covered by the scholarship as well as comprehensive medical insurance for international students. Small conditions exists with the awarding of the scholarship such as Students may not change degrees or duration of study. Also after one years of studying students will be put forward for evaluation in terms of academics, learning attitude, class attendance, rewards and punishments so that the student. If one should fail the evaluation process the scholarship would be retracked.
