ACASC gives international students a variety of options, ranging from choosing your desirable course to studying in either a university or a college. After these decisions have been made, we assist you along every step of your application.

Every University or college has their own requirements when it comes to admitting students. Its very reasonable that each college will heve their expection, and the kind of qualifications that they require their students to have. This works the same way that every individual student has their own requirements or preference when choosing a university to attend. All international students that want to study in universities in China must meet the requirements and qualifications that are asked for by their prospective universities.

Each program at any Chinese university also hs its own special requirements for students that want to enroll. So we advice that before you apply to ny university or for any program, please consult our representatives at ACASC to be sure of the entry requirements and qualifications before you proceed. It is very important to take note of this, and to be sure you can meet the entry requirements to prevent any disapppointments during the application. Should there be a case when you might not meet a universities requirement, be sure to notify our team at ACASC, so that we figure out other ways to proceed.

The basic University requirements are usually classified under the types of programs. The types of programs that are available at most chinese universities are:

1. Non-Degree programs/ Chinese Language programs

2. Bachelor Degree Programs

3. Masters Degree Programs

4. Doctorate Degree Programs

Every type of program has a different requirement, and every school might even have different requirements for the same program. Even with this case there are certain requirements that are generalized and that almost all schools ask for. These general entry requirements can be seen across most types of programs. This simply means that for a bchelor degree program, there are certain requirements that will be the same, irrespective of the school.

Also to be  able to enter any Chinese university, you must meet the requirements of both the governments and also the school. Meeting the governments requirements are as important as meeting the requirements of the school. We will give you a brief of some of the requirements that are usually asked of by the school. Please note that there may be other requirements and hence you should confirm with ACASC to be sure you have the updated requirements always.

Admission Requirements of the Chinese Government.

1. The applicant must be a student and must enter the country with the valid students visa. The applicant must not forge any of their documents.

2. Applicants must provide a non-criminal certificate, which must show no criminal records.

3. Some citizens of certain countries might not be allowed to study in China, most especially some universities. Please confirm from the chinese embassy in your country to be sure you are elligible to study in China.

4. Applicants must have a guarantor min China and must have the appropriate qualification required to enter the university of their choice. Note that the documents required must not be forged or altered.

General Admission  Requirements of the Chinese Universities

1. The admission requirements of universities vary with the level of the degree you will want to study for. This means that the requirements for a bachelors degree, will be difgferent from a masters degree and a doctorate degree. You must carefully review all these information before you apply.

2. Another criteria for university entry requirement is based on the language or meduim of study that you will be applying to study in. Usually study languages are either english or Chinese language. To study in english it will be required that you provide proof of your english language proficiency. To study in chinese, you will also have to provide a proof of chinese language proficiency in the form of an HSK.

The following is a list of the different types  of programs taught in chinese universities and their characteristic requirements.

Language Students/ Short term student

1. High school certificate

2. Over 18 years old

3. Must have a clean bill of health

4. Must be willing to observe all the laws and rules of Chin and the school.

Undergraduate or Bachelors Degree student

1. High school certificate or a higher level certificate

2. Must have good grades

3. Between the ages of 18 and 30

4. Students must take the HSK exam during their first year

Masters Degree Student

1. Bachelors Degree holder.

2. Must be a non Chinese citizen under the age of 50 years

3. Applicant must be of good health

4. Non native english speakers must provide a certificate or proof of their english speaking proficiency, IELTS 6.0 or TOEFL 80 or an equivalent.

Doctorate Degree students

1. Bachelors Degree holder.

2. Must be a non Chinese citizen under the age of 50

3. Applicant must be of very good health

4. Non native english speakers must provide a certificate or proof of their english speaking proficiency, IELTS 6.0 or TOEFL 80 or an equivalent
