China Universities Agriculture

Majority of the countries around the world have an economy that is hugely dependent on agriculture be it in a minor way or a huge way. Agriculture is important to human beings as it is the essential roots of the food security. It helps human beings grow the most ideal food crops and raise the right animals keeping the environmental factors in mind.

Agriculture however is an important economic sector of China, with regards of employing over 300 million farmers. China's development of farming over the evolution of its history has played a crucial role in supporting the growth of what is now the largest population in the world.

Top universities offering agriculture course in China include:

China Agricultural University

One of the top-ranked national universities running under the direct administration of China's Ministry of Education and located in the capital, Beijing, China Agricultural University was constituted in 1995 through the merging of Beijing Agricultural University and Beijing Agricultural Engineering University. Going all the way to 1905 as the College of Agriculture, the school comprises of agriculture as well as, biology, engineering, veterinary medicine, economics, management, humanities and social sciences.

Nanjing Agricultural University

Nanjing Agricultural University is one of the oldest institutions of agricultural sciences, as well as a key national university also running under the direct administration of China's Ministry of Education. Located in the capital of Jiangsu, Nanjing Agricultural University was formerly known as the Faculty of Agriculture and Natural History at Sanjiang Normal School in 1902. The school is widely prominent for its research and education in agriculture and sciences.

Zhejiang University

One of the interdisciplinary research universities with distinctive features and international influence, and located in the city of Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province, Zhejiang University was initiated in 1897 under the name of Qiushi Academy. Northwest Agriculture and Forestry University

Northwest Agriculture and Forestry University is one of the top national universities which run under the administration of the Ministry of Education. Located in Yangling, Shaanxi Province, the university was founded in 1934. The university is widely renowned for its inspiring influence in the fields of agricultural biology, which include wheat breeding, entomology, agriculture resource management, horticulture, plant protection, food science, forestry and veterinary medicine. The university also offers courses such as forestry, engineering, basic sciences, medicine, management and economy, along with agriculture

Huazhong Agricultural University

Huazhong Agricultural University is another national vital university under the administration of China's Ministry of Education. Located in the capital of Hubei, Wuhan, it was originally initiated in 1898 by Governor-General of the Huguang region Zhang Zhidong. The university majorly deems on agriculture, which is further sub-divided into life sciences and supplemented by the combination of agriculture, basic sciences, engineering, liberal arts, law, economic trade and management.
