Best universities to study in China

China is a consistently strong contender in the ranking of reflecting the country’s investment in higher education and research.

 

1.       Tsinghua University

Boast a position of one of the highest ranked universities. It was founded in 1911 and has 46 200 students enrolled in 20 schools. located in the capital city of Beijing it’s a member of the prestigious C9 league and claims many top positions in architecture , engineering , chemistry , computer science , law ,art and design , politics , mathematics and modern languages .

 

2.       Peking University

Located in Beijing and boast second place among the universities in China. It is ranked 9th in Asia and was originally founded in 1989. It is celebrated for its excellence in education and for its beauty and traditional chines architecture.

 

3.       Fudan University

Features 11th in Asia and is a member of the C9 league and university21, an international network of research and is located in Shanghai. It has 31 00 students enrolled across 17 schools. It has 77 research institutes with 10 teaching hospitals.

 

4.       University of Science and Technology

Placed 25th in Asia rankings and is led by the Chinese Academy of Sciences. Founded in the year 1958 to meet the science and technology needs of the country and increase its global competitiveness. It is located in Hefei and spans across 360 acres.

 

5.       Shanghai Jiao Tong University

Boasts 22nd place in Asia’s top school ranking and now teaches over 37 500 students of which 1700 are from outside China. The university offers 36 undergraduate programs, 250 master programs and 28 postdoctoral programs.

 

6.       Nanjing University

Ranked 23rd in Asia and was founded in 1902. It now has 30 000 students enrolled across 2 campuses which spans close to 600 acres. It is ranked internationally for 23 subjects inclusive of a place amongat the top 100 for chemistry.

 

7.       Zhejiang University

Ranked 24th in Asia and is a member of the prestigious C9 league. Founded in 1897 and has one of largest academic libraries. The school has 47 339 students of which 5800 are from outside China. It is ranked among the worlds best for 24 subjects.

 

8.       Beijing Normal University

Retains 4oth place in Asia. It is home to a wide range of research centre, laboratories and a science park. It has 22000 students enrolled which is inclusive of 1800 international students...  the school appears in the top 100 for education and training , modern languages , social policy and administration.

 

9.       Wuhan University

Featured 44th in Asia tops university and is located in the province of Hubei. The university is administered by the ministry of education in China and was founded in 1983. The school is a fusion of Eastern and Western styles.

 

10.   Tongji University

Possesses a ranking of 53rd in Asia and was initially established as Tongji German Medical School in 1907. It now teaches 36 600m students inclusive of 2000 international students. The school is known for its magnificent architecture and excellence in the engineering course.
