HEBUST Held 2016 Foreign Teachers and Students Christmas Party
On the afternoon of December 23, our university hosted the 2016 Foreign Teachers and Students' Christmas Party in Faculty's Family in Administration Building. Vice President Zhao Jiang attended and spoke at the party. Zhao Jiang expressed his gratitude to the foreign teachers for their hard work and hoped that all the students would become the international brand of the university.
HEBUST participated in the conference of Introduction of Foreign Talent
On the morning, February 28, the 2017 annual provincial conference of the Introduction of Foreign Talent and Intelligence was held at Taihang State Hotel. Zhao Jiang, vice president of HEBUST, as the only representative of universities at the conference, shared experiences of HEBUST in terms of the introduction of foreign high-level talents and intelligence.
Vice President of University of Waikato Visit HEBUST
On 25th April, Vice President Ed Weymes, head of International Affairs Mulan, and deputy dean of Engineering College Chen Yifan from University of Waikato visited HEBUST. Vice President Zhaojiang met with the guests.
Zhao reviewed the progress of cooperation between the two universities and expressed his gratitude for the endeavor made by University of Waikato in terms of the project of metal material engineering. Ed Weymes also expressed his thanks to HEBUST. The two sides discussed many issues and reached consensus including professional course teaching, English teaching, credit recognition and student scholarships.
After the meeting, the delegation visited the laboratories of School of Materials, and attended an informal discussion with students.
Heads of Department of International Exchange and Cooperation and School of Materials attended the meeting and discussions.
Recently, in accordance with the requirements of the notice of the Hebei Provincial Department of Education in terms of the project of government-sponsored overseas study, HEBUST seriously carried out relevant works. After the study of the National Overseas Study Fund Committee, Meng Yichang, Guo Ruiping got the qualifications of government-sponsored overseas study.
