Study in China cost of living

China- as we all know that is progressing on daily basis and is now at the top. China has now become the” window of the world” at every aspect.

The educational system of china has increased many folds from the past couple of years attracting the international students from all over the world. According to a survey recently 50,000 students from all over the world became a part of different universities in china due to its great reputation about the quality of education provided to the intellectual seekers.

The thing that effects a lot other than fee is “cost of living” at a place. As it is said,

The cost of living in china is not much as compared to all other countries around the world.  The cost of living is dependent on a number of factors such as,

1.  Rent

2. Grocery

3. Transportation

4. Bills

5. Food

1.  Rent:

The students studying in china are provided with the facility of hostels, that are built according to the modern day infrastructure with all the facilities like separate toilet, internet connection and furniture available in it. The fee depends on the university averagely speaking it is in between 5000 to 10,000 RMB per year, however some of the students tends to live outside the campus premises which adds up in their living expenditures as they have to pay for the rent. The rent for apartments vary from place to place and the location averagely it is in between 1300 t0 2000 RMB per month.

Moreover the students living outside the campus premises have to register their address with the nearest police station as well as with the university management.

2. Grocery:

Don’t panic about the grocery stuff. In china there are many stores and mart with having all the import quality products. The grocery shopping for a student is not much and depends upon the place where you buy from and how often you go out for grocery.

 

3. Transportation:

The transportation is not a problem in china, it’s quite affordable and easy! There are busses covering every route in the cities, subways, and taxi’s and if you are planning to travel to another city you can use the bullet train. Easy, cheap and saves your time as well.

Busses mostly cost you 1 to 3 RMB to take you from one part of the city to another. Taxies mostly starts from 6 to 9 YUAN’S per kilometer. Overall the students use the public transportation however if someone wants to keep his own convince he needs to pass the Chinese driving license and shall have registered his vehicle with the university and the nearest police station.

Students are allowed to keep an E-bike that does not requires any kind of license and registration plus it is cheap as well.

4. Bills:

The bills adds up in the total budget of a student studying overseas at the end of every month. While staying in china this can be avoided as the students are living in the dormitories where they only have to pay for the internet and electricity bills which are not much. While for the students staying outside the campus premises have to pay for the gas, electricity, water, internet and monthly rent as well.

5. Food:

The food in china is very cheap, you can eat a healthy, delicious food in just a few yuan’s. Moreover if you cook yourself the raw food is also affordable and is easily preset everywhere in the cities.
